Life of Silver Cullen as a Vampire

I walked across the hallway and leaned on her locker.
I stared at the few humans across from me.
They gave me a cold glance back.
Humans, I thought, shaking my head.
I reached for her lock, but she stopped as she felt a warm presence.
I turned around.
My face was a few inches away from the male human.
"What," I said, staring back at him. "This is dangerous for you, you know that we're vampires."
"I know, but this was our school first," he responded coldy.
"Well, it's ours now, too." I said.
"Leave." he said, walking away.
"We won't, watch out tonight. Watch out for your neck." I said, watching him walk away.
"No one will bite me, Silver Cullen." he said, disappearing into air.
He's a ghost, that's weird. Anyways, I wouldn't bite him, ever. I'm not like that, I thought.

Matthew Reed stepped towards me.
His brown hair glistened in the bright light.
"You shouldn't of threaten him like that. I thought you agreed to the VO rules. Besides, you're too innocent." Matthew said, staring at me, smiling.
"Matt, Matt, Matt. You're too friendly. What does VO stand for?" I asked turning her lock.
"Be quiet, don't let anyone hear. VO stands for Vampires Only. Remember?" Matthew Reed whispered.
"Oh yeah." I responded, thinking.
"Well, I'm going to be late for crappy Mr. Greene's Social Studies class." Matthew said, shaking his head.
"You got speed, that's you're skill." I said, grabbing her books from her opened locker.
"Yeah, so. No running, remember?" Matthew said, staring at his feet.
"See, you're too innocent." I said, smiling at him.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever. Well bye." Matthew said.
Before Silver could respond, Matthew was already gone with his speed.

Ugh, he actually listened to me, Silver thought.
She grabbed her pencil, and kicked her locker.
Her locker closed with a slap.
She quickly walked, remembering the running rule.
Mrs. Harrison's Math class, ugh. Silver thought, shivering at the thought.
As soon as she stepped in room 213, the bell rang.
Yes, I made it!
"Today, we're learning scientific notation again," Mrs. Harrison said, glancing up at Silver.
"Sorry I'm almost late." Silver said.
"You were lucky today, take a seat," Mrs. Harrison said, pointing at Silver's seat at the front of the class.

Silver nodded slightly, walking to her desk.
On top of her desk, her test was there.
60% was written on top.
Ohmygod, another fail. Mom's going to kill me. Wait, she can't. I'm a vampire. Haha.
She grabbed her test, and sat down.
She shoved her test into her red binder.
"Silver, take out a pencil and do the worksheet." Mrs. Harrison said, giving Silver a look.
"Okay, Mrs. Harrison," Silver answered, reaching for her pencil.
She looked over the worksheet.

Before Silver could write down the answer to question 1, there was a knock on the door.
Then there was a short pause.
"Come in," Mrs. Harrison said, waiting for the mysterious creature to come in.
The doorknob turned, and the door opened.
There was a tall girl, with long black hair covering her pale skin.
Her crystal blue eyes seemed to be aiming at me.
"Is this room 213, Math, Mrs. Harrison?" the girl whispered loudly, looking down at Mrs. Harrison.
The short lady, Mrs. Harrison, looked up at her and said, "Ah, you must be the new student."
"Yes, I am. I'm assuming this is the right class." the girl questioned, this time looking at the empty seat next to me.
"Yes, you are correct. So you are Kaitlynn Domi?" Mrs. Harrison asked, impatiently.
"Um, I prefer Kate." Kate answered.
"Alright, take a seat," Mrs. Harrison said.
There was only one empty seat.
The one next to me.
Kate gave a cold stare as she noticed the same thing.
She quietly walked next to me and sat down.
I sniffed the air.
She was a vampire.

"I'm telling you, Matt. She is a humankiller!" I roared, staring at Matt's dark chocolate eyes.
It was lunch, 4 periods after Math.
"Just because she's new doesn't mean that," Matt protested.
"Don't look behind you," I said, meaning it.
Of course, he didn't listen.
He looked back, eager to see what I didn't want him to see.
There was Kate, eating alone.
"Let's go say hi to her," Matt said, not taking his eyes of Kate.
"No," I protested, tugging his sleeve.
He pulled me up, and dragged me there.
Matt gave Kate a smile and said, "Hi, I'm Matthew Reed."
"Uh, hi," Kate replied, smiling back.
"And I'm Silver, we kind of met during Math earlier today." I said, trying not to roll my eyes.
"I see that," she said, ignoring my glare.
"Um, I'll get some lunch," Matt said, pointing at the short lunch line.
Kate and I nodded, ignoring each other.
Matt waved a bye, and ran off.
"Kate, can we be friends, instead of enemies. I would love to show you around," I said, with a serious smile.
Kate finally looked at me, with a questioned look on her face.
"Sure, I guess," she replied.
"Okay, where's your locker?"
"Um, 3rd floor, number 32."
"Really? Mine's 33."
"Must be 1st period Math."
"Yeah, it depends on the last name and 1st period class."
"Ah, I see."
"So, you're a vampire?"
"Yep. Part witch, too."
"Whoa, awesome. I never had a witch friend."
"Eh."
"I'm full vampire."
"Cool. What about Matt?"
"He's vampire, and a little ghost."
"Can he disappear?"
"Yeah, but you can still see a white outline."
"Oh."

"What do you have next?" Silver asked, with a curved grin on her face.
"Uh, Science," Kate answered, offering a fry to Silver.
Silver took the fry happily, and added, "Me, too."
"Can you show me where it is?"
"Of course, just follow me after lunch."
"Thanks."
"No problem."
"This might be random, but I hate my hair."
"We can go to the hair salon today, if you're free."
"I don't need to."
"Why?"
"Just watch." Kate closed her eyes. A small smile appeared on her face. She muttered, "Short, green, hair, slihosh." Then she snapped her fingers. Her hair changed. Silver watched in awe. Kate had shorter black hair with a long green streak. Silver could see her face clearly this time. A scar was right under her left eye, which was covered before by her long hair.
"Um, why is there a scar there?" Silver asked, pointing at the scar.
"It's personal, but I'll tell you. Well, I was walking to school in 8th grade."
"Two years ago?"
"Yeah, at Bagitch High School. For witches only, though. Anyways, a Garthscarat attacked me."
"Garthscarat?"
"It only lives in Craghill."
"Oh, what is it?"
"A big, yellow lion with firey wings and long black claws."
"Scary."
"Yeah, I was shocked when I saw it. The Garthscarat was staring at me with thirst. My parents had warned me about them. Garthscarats usually live in the wild. But they feed on humans, too. I walked slowly. If I ran, he would notice my movement right away. I stepped on a tree branch, and the Garthscarat started to run to me. I just ran like anyone would. It caught up to me and his claws scratched me pretty deep. I teleported quickly, and I ended up at a supermarket. Teleporting makes you end up at a random place. I fell on the ground, and fainted. The venom had reached a point when it can kill. When I woke up, I was at the hospital. The doctors had performed a surgery while I was fainting. The venom was gone. I healed quickly. So now all that's left is a short scar."
"Wow, that must have been scary."
"Well, yeah."
"Look out!" a unknown male voice shouted.

Kate dodged as a flying rat flew across the lunch room.
The male,who screamed look out, ran towards the flying rat and picked it up.
As his head came into view, I saw his face.
His eyes were sparkling, his lips were curved beautifully, and his wavy black hair flew back and forth.
He was handsome.
"Sorry, that was my Flirin." he said, staring at me, with a half-grin.
"Uh, that was okay," Kate muttered, reaching for the table.
She didn't notice his beauty.
He gave a nod and said, "My name is Chris Hilburt."
His hand approached mine, eagered to shake mine.
I shook his hand.
"My name is Silver Cullen," I replied.
"Kate Domi here," Kate responded, shaking his hand.
"I'm Matt Reed," Matt said, a foot away holding a lunch tray.
Chris managed a smile.
His face was pale, but his teeth wasn't sharp.
"So what are you guys?" he asked, taking a seat right next to me.
"Vampire and ghost." Matt replied, grabbing a long fry.
"Full vampire," I said, trying not to show my full vampiriness.
"Vampire and witch," Kate said, drinking her coke.
"Whoa, awesome. I'm full vampire, too," Chris said, glancing up at me, "I lost my sharp teeth, though. I was skateboarding and lost control. Got hit pretty hard, but I'm fine now."
I stared at him with interest.
Matt noticed, and muttered, "I'm going to get a drink."
"Okay," we all said.
As Matt walked away, I saw a redness in his eye.
Red stood for anger.

"Wow, that was weird," Kate said.
"Yeah," I said. I took a look at Chris's Flirin. "Where'd you get that?"
"Elemental Creatures class."
"Today?"
"Yeah, I had it 4th period."
"I have it 7th."
Kate stared at us both while we talked.
"I'll get some lunch," Chris said, smiling.
I nodded.
Kate nodded, too.
Chris smiled again as he got up.
As soon as he was on line, Kate whispered, "He likes you."
I looked at her. "How do you know?"
"I can sense things."
"Oh." I hid my love for Chris.
"I know you like Chris."
"Heh."
"Guess who I like."
"Ma-" I paused as soon as I saw Matt coming back.
"Hey guys. Where's Chris?"
"Over there." I said, pointing at Chris.

Matt muttered, "I'm going to kill him."
Kate and I stared at him, "Why?"
"He can't control his fat rat." Matt replied.
Kate and I looked at each other.
"I don't think he meant to," I said.
"Yeah," Kate responded, smiling.
Chris slowly walked towards us, holding his tray in one hand, another in the other hand.
"Here you go," Chris said, sliding a tray under my folded arms.
"Thanks," I said, accepting the tray.
Chris smiled as he took a seat next to me.
