In a way, Lionblaze's and Jayfeather's powers are just extended.
Ex: Lionblaze is a warrior. Warriors fight. He just can fight well. Extremely well.
Jayfeather is a medicine cat. He shares dreams with cats as a medicine cat, but he can also walk in other people's dreams, view their memories, sense feelings.
So maybe Dovepaw would have an extended talent as well?

I've only skimmed a few chapters of The Fourth Apprentice. Jayfeather got jealous of Dovepaw, because she was able to smell the fire, too. :D
Also, I skipped to the end-ish of the book. Dovepaw was talking about being able to to smell an animal (I forgot what it was) and be able to 'see' it. My memory is really fuzzy right now, and I'm sick; if I typed something incorrect, please correct me. ;P
Interesting. It seems, from what I've read so far, that Dovepaw has EXTENDED senses. Hehe. I was right . . . well, sort of. ^^
Andy, you were right, too. It's weird. The first time she was able to use her 'power' was when she smelled the fire. XD
More about Dove's power. . . - Spoiler:

Dovepaw shook her head; then she remembered that Jayfeather couldn't see her. 'No, I know what they look like, too.' Confusion swept over her. | I read it on golden_retriever's Kindle. It was a really good book! (: Here are some spoilers. XD - Spoiler:
- Dovepaw IS one of the three.
- All four clan leaders send two cats of their clan to go on a journey to find out what's causing the drought.
- Poppyfrost thinks Berrynose doesn't love her.
- Breezepelt almosts kills Jayfeather. : O
- Tigerheart shows a lot of affection towards Dovepaw on the journey. Oooh. XD
- One of the cats who is sent on the journey dies.
- Poppyfrost has two kits. One is a tom and the other is a she-cat.
- Lionblaze confesses to Jayfeather that Tigerstar used to visit him in his dreams.
- Tigerstar, Hawkfrost, and a cat with a broken tail *cough* Brokentail *cough* are probably planning on visiting Poppyfrost's kits in their dreams. And, I think, they are visiting Breezepelt and Tawnypelt's kits too.
- Dovepaw does not mention her powers to Ivypaw in this book.
- Jayfeather and Lionblaze are really cute in this book! (:
