Teenage Horrors, Totally Different from RP.

"You aren't exactly pretty, you know." Kelly Calliver muttered, smirking.

I turned towards her. "As if you are." I imagine saying she's ugly. That wasn't even close to reality. Kelly was tall, blond, and rich. Kelly Calliver was pretty, even beautiful. At least that's what most guys say. My best guy friends, Alex and Andy, even says she's pretty. One problem about her is that she has a bad personality and her stupidity.

"I am." Kelly replied, feeling her long, silky hair.

"Whatever." I turned around to the front of the room. Kelly sits right behind me, bugging me constantly.

There were about six popular girls in my 4th period English class. Three of them are in my 5th period lunch with many others. There were way too many popular girls in Dixon Arc Middle School.

Usually in movies, or books, the low ranked or middle ranked girls want to be popular. That wasn't the situation here. No one wanted to be popular, besides some. A handful of very low ranked wanted to be popular. Most of us were fine with our lives, not risking to ruin our friendship with the friends we have at the moment.

"Kelly," Mrs. Wallach called, "What is a word that also means hate?"

Kelly pretended to think, looking at the ceiling. "Uh, love?"

"That is incorrect, that is the opposite." Mrs. Wallach explained. "Does anyone else know?" Many hands popped up. "Anne, what is another word?"

"Detest," Anne answered, smiling. Anne was lowly ranked and had barely any friends. Let's just say she's a nerd and a teacher's pet.

Mrs. Wallach grinned, "Correct." Anne beamed.

I felt a poke on my back. Ugh, Kelly again? I turned around slowly, putting my best annoyed face, and muttered, "What?"

"Excuse Adriana, please turn around," Mrs. Wallach demanded.

"Yeah, Adri, why did you turn around?" Kelly asked, innocently. "Did you have something to tell me?"

I narrowed my eyes, "You poked me and I thought you wanted to tell me something." I turned around, facing Mrs. Wallach. "Sorry, Mrs. Wallach, but --"

Mrs. Wallach stopped me from saying anything more, "No buts, I will see you in detention." She turned towards the blackboard.

I turned back towards Kelly, "I hat--"

"Adriana, today and tomorrow, you have detention." Mrs. Wallach said.

"And you didn't say detest!" Anne screamed.

I sighed and turned around. Tomorrow is Angel's birthday. For the rest of the period, I paid attention and tried really hard not to fall asleep.

Then the bell rang, and Kelly followed me out the door. I gave her a I-will-get-you-later look. She smiled and walked the opposite direction to her locker.

I sprinted to my locker two floors down. There was a crowd of people blocking the entrance of the stairway. Seems there was a fight.

I walked to the other stairway down the hall, the slower way. Thankfully, there wasn't a fight there, but there was about two to three people blocking part of the stairway. They were chatting away.

"So, like, ohmygod, he is so hot!" One of the eighth graders whispered. Definitely popular and stupid.

"Did you see his hair! So hot!" The other eighth grader whispered a bit louder.

"But he's in 7th grade. He's also a new kid." The last eight grader said, frowning.

"Ew. 7th graders and new kids suck." The first two muttered in unison.

"Guess what?" The second questioned.

"What?" The third asked.

"Jared Campline asked me out yesterday." The second replied, jumping. She nearly fell down the stairs.

This was lame. No wonder why no one wanted to be popular. I walked passed them as I trudged down the stairs. The stairs seemed to be a bit empty.

I spotted one of the popular girls in front of me from my English class. Where is she going? I knew that she didn't have lunch because I don't see her there. She walked right pass the lunch room, stopping in front of the band room. Probably she has band.

Then the second bell rang. I sighed, this happens everyday. Good thing the lunchroom is right across from me, and the teachers there don't seem to mind much if your a bit late.

I stopped in front of my locker. I dropped my books carefully onto the floor. I grabbed my lock, turning 17 right, 23 left, 9 right. The lock popped open and I thrust the lock on the floor. I grabbed a few books I didn't need from the floor and threw in the locker. I grabbed a binder and set it down near my pile of books that I needed for my future periods. I bent down to get a hold on my lock and closed it on the handle of my locker. I bent down again to gather my books and walked quickly to lunch. A few kids were also late, filling in the lunchroom slowly.

"Adri, what's up?" Angel Carew asked, as I approached her.

"Nothing much. I have detention today and tomorrow." I murmured, setting down my books on the wooden table. I sat down on the wooden bench across from Angel and next to Alex Marcasdo. Alex was busy talking to Alice Meyer, who sat next to Angel.

"How?" Angel questioned, obviously disappointed.

"Kelly Calliver." I said, disgusted. I looked for her and I saw her laughing with a few kids. Their laughter was loud, but the chatter of the 7th and 6th graders made it harder to hear.

Alex looked towards me and asked, "Kelly? What about her? She's hot, right?"

I stuck out my tongue, "You wish."

Just then my other guy friend, Andy Webbler, walked towards our table. "Hey guys."

We all looked up at him. "You're late."

Andy smirked as he grabbed something from his pocket. He pulled out a wrinkled pass. He unfolded it, and put it in mid-air, showing us. "Got a pass."

"Mrs. Jenkins kept me a bit late, like she did to you. I didn't get a pass, though. You were also in my class, but I got here in time. What were you doing? Bugging Lisa?" Alex questioned, awaiting his answer.

"I hate Lisa." Andy scowled, hiding his smile. But, obviously, he liked her.

"Mmhm, sure, whatever you say." Alex replied, looking for the lunch teacher to call us for lunch.

"I'm hungry." Alice complained.

I looked at her. "Who isn't?"

"True." Alice answered, also looking for the lunch teacher.

"5a's, get up for lunch." The lunch teacher, Mrs. Gerline, said, swaying her hand.

Alex, Alice, and I got up. My stomach grumbled.

"5a's? How are we the 5a's?" Alex asked, staring at Alice.

Alice thought for a moment, and responded, "Alex, Alice, Adri, Angel, and Andy. The 5a's."

"Smarticles." Alex mumbled, walking up slowly to the lunch line.

Alice and I ignored him, but followed him.
